22 day tour to the birthplace of Chinggis Khan, the nature reserve Mongol Daguur, a bird watching place, the energy vortex of the world and afterwards drive to the Gobi desert.

We visit the birthplace of Chinggis Khan Dadal Soum, furthermore the strictly protected areas Khan Khentii and Mongol Daguur with many small lakes, where endangered bird species can be found.

During this 22 day trip we visit Dadai Soum, the birth place of Chinggis Khan, the protected areas of Khan Khentii and Mongol Daguur including many small lakes which are inhabited by rare birds.

National parks are also part of our journey such as Gobi Gurwan Saikhan at the Gobi desert, Khustai Nuruu with the famous Takhi-Horses, and the Shambhala pilgrimage site ("energy center of the world").

• Day 1: Arrival
  Departure from Europe to Ulaanbaatar/Chinggis Khan.
• Day 2: Ulaanbaatar
  Arrival at Ulaanbaatar/Chinggis Khan Airport and transfer to the yurt (Ger) camp, after introduction you can relax and take a shower. In the afternoon we visit the Gandan Monastery and the Choijin Lama Temple Museum. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
• Day 3: Avarga Toson
  In the morning we start our trip in eastwards and drive to Avarga Toson. The village is located close to the Avarga river with a mineral spring and the lake Toson, where a sanatorium is located. It is specialized in heart and skin diseases.
• Day 4: Provincial town Undurkhan
  Drive to Undurkhan, the provincial town of the Khentii Aimag, which is located in the riparian zone of Lake Avarga Toson. Visit to the ethnographical museum in the palace of Tsetsen Khan, a Mongolian sovereign of the 18^th century, overnight at the yurt camp close to the city.
• Day 5: Dadal Soum
  Today we drive in North-East direction and arrive at the birthplace of Chinggis Khan, Deluun Boldog at Dadal Soum, in the middle of a semi-taiga area. Dinner and overnight at a camp.
• Day 6: Dadal Soum and provincial town Choibalsan
  Trip to the memorial of Chinggis Khan, which was built in the Socialist period (1962). We continue to the mineral spring of Gurvan Nuur, have a massage and a bath, then to the spring Khaju Bulag and finally to Balj River. Then we drive to the provincial town Choibalsan of Dornod Aimag, check in to our hotel. In the evening we prepare for the trip to Mongol Daguur.
• Day 7-9: Mongol Daguur
  Drive to the nature protection area Mongol Daguur through a landscape with many small lakes and watch rare cranes.
• Day 10: Choibalsan
  Return to Choibalsan, check in hotel.
• Day 11: Baruun-Urt
  Trip to Baruun-Urt, a provincial town in the Sukhbaatar Aimag, visits to the Aimag museum and the Erdenemandal Khiid Monastery, overnight at the hotel.
• Day 12-13: Sainshand
  Drive to Sainshand, visit the Danzan Ravjaa Museum, after a short trip to Khamariin Khiid Monastery, the energy vortex, the holy spring and an old meditation cave. Overnight at yurt-camp.
• Day 14: Tsagaan Suvarga
  Drive to “Tsagaan Survarga”, where the forces of nature created a special eroded lump of rocks. They are called the “white and red stupa” because of their colour and their shape.
• Day: Yoliin Am
  We continue our journey to the Gobi desert and visit the impressive vulture canyon “Yoliin Am” in the Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park.
• Day 16: Bayanzag
  Today we drive to Bayanzag, where the first fossiles of dinosaurs were discovered. In the afternoon we plan a walking tour to the “Blistering Rocks”. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
• Day 17: Bayanzag, Dune Moltsog Els
  Trip to the dune Moltsog Els, visiting a camel farm family, camel riding and overnight at the camp.
• Day 18: Ongi
  Drive to temple ruins from the 19^th century. Return to Ongiin Gol. At night walk to a memorial of the witness of the Communistic Period. Overnight at camp.
• Day 19: Baga Gazriin Chuluu Mountains
  Today we drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu Mountains, which arises pictorially out of the flat landscapes. Overnight at a camp encircled by rough rocks.
• Day 20: National Park “Khustain Nuruu“
  In the morning we drive to the National Park “Khustain Nuruu“, where a successful rehabilitation program for Przewalski-Horses is taking place. These horses are a kind of ancestor of our present horses. Overnight stay in a Ger built by nomads for tourists.
• Day 21: Ulaanbaatar
  In the morning we visit a nomad family, horse riding is possible. Return to Ulaanbaatar, arrival at the hotel, free time to discover the city by yourself. At night farewell dinner with folk music.
• Day 22: Departure
  Transfer to the airport and departure to Europe.
