22 days Event-Tour: Explore the country by Jeep and be part of the traditional Naadam Festival

Travel through steppe, pass over Altai mountain range, do some hiking around the pictorial seas into impressing steppe and hill landscape.

• Day 1: Flight
  Flight from Berlin/Tegel to Ulaanbaatar/Chinggis Khan Airport.
• Day 2: Ulaanbaatar
  Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, 2 hour drive by jeep west to your Ger camp in Khustai Nuruu National Park. In the late evening we visit the Przewalski Wild Horse, in Mongolian "Takhi". Dinner and our first overnight in the Ger camp
• Day 3: Karakorum
  Drive to Karakorum and visit Erdene Zuu (World cultural heritage from UNESCO), magnificent monastery built on ruins of capital of Chinggis Khan. Overnight in Mongolian Ger at the camp on the shores of Orkhon River.
• Day 4: Waterfall „Ulaanzutgalan"
  Today we drive to the largest waterfall „Ulaanzutgalan". On the way we visit the temple Shank. Overnight in Extra-Ger from nomad's purpose-built for tourists.
• Day 5: Temple Tuvkhun
  Quick drive to the temple on the peak of the Tuvkhun mountain. We continue our trip to hot springs of Jaran Rashaan. Overnight in Ger at the camp.
• Day 6: Provincial town Tsetserleg
  Drive to the centre of Arkhangai province Tsetserleg and visit a large old Buddhist Monastery-Museum Zaya Pandita and the local market. Lunch at the cafe Fairfield, then drive to sacred stone of Taikhar Chuluu on the shores of river Tamir.
• Day 7: Khorgo Volcano, See Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur
  After breakfast we continue our journey to north-west. In the afternoon we arrive at Khorgo Volcano, climb on top and go to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur, "Great White Lake", with clear and fresh water. Overnight at Ger camp.
• Day 8: Free Day
  Free day, may be used for hiking along the lake.
• Day 9: Lake Ugii Nuur
  In the morning we drive back to the east, lunch in Tsetserleg. In late afternoon we arrive at the lake Ugii, where you can swim or watch birds.
• Day 10: Ulaanbaatar
  Drive to Ulaanbaatar; check-in hotel
• Day 11: Naadam festival
  In the morning we take part in the opening ceremony of Naadam festival. It consists of wrestling, horse racing and archery.
• Day 12: Free day
  Free day , may be used for city tour or Naadam celebration.
• Day 13: Natur Reserve Gun Galuut
  Drive to the east to the 40m high Chinggis Khan State Complex and to Natur Reserve Gun Galuut. In the afternoon free time for bird watching, dinner and overnight at Gercamp "Steppe nomads".
• Day 14: City Choir
  Drive direction south to the city Choir, a small town on Trans/ Siberian Railway to China, check-in hotel.
• Day 15: Provincial town Mandalgobi
  Today we continue our trip south to the province of middle Gobi Mandalgobi. On the way we pass the interesting rock formations Ich Gazriin Tschuluu.
• Day 16: Yoliin Am (Vulture Valley)
  Canyon of Yoliin Am (Vulture Valley) with ice even in summer, overnight at Camp in the range of national Park "Three Beauties of Gobi".
• Day 17: "Flaming cliffs" of Bayanzag
  After hiking in the National Park and visiting the gobi-museum, drive to the "Flaming cliffs" Bayanzag, a world famous dinosaur remains site. Visit at camel breeding family and camel riding. Overnight in Ger by saxaul bush forests.
• Day 18: Ongi river with monastery ruins
  In the morning we drive to Ongi river with monastery ruins. Overnight at the camp.
• Day 19: Baga Gazriin Chuluu Mountain
  We continue our drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu Mountain, an interesting rock formation in the middle of the Gobi desert, walk into mountains.
• Day 20: Mandzsuhir monastery
  Bogd Khan National Park, where we will see Mandzsuhir monastery, which was built in 1733 and in 1932. It was destroyed bythe communist purges of the 1930s. In the afternoon hike in the mountain
• Day 21: Ulaanbaatar
  Return to Ulaanbaatar and leisure time for shopping. Afterwards dinner accompanied by traditional folklore concert.
• Day 22: Departure
  Transfer to the Airport and departure.
